Two people are facing drug charges following an incident in Monroe County.
Pocono Mountain Regional police said officers responded to the Mount Pocono Plaza at 11:06 a.m. Aug. 11 for an adult female passed out on the sidewalk.
On scene officers found the woman who became responsive but uncooperative. The officers made contact with a friend, identified as Jade Cullen, 30, of Sciota. The woman was later identified as Dystinee Coco, 34, of Stroudsburg.
Police said both women exhibited signs of being under the influence of narcotics. A further investigation found Coco to be in possession of a large baggie of prescription pills.
The pills were not in an authorized container, nor did either Coco or Cullen have a valid prescription for the pills.
As a result, both were charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
