A man wanted in connection with an assault in Monroe County was arrested without incident in Penn Forest Township on Wednesday.
Naeem Rasheed Dixon, 35, of Pocono Summit, was arrested at a home in Albrightsville, according to Pocono Mountain Regional Police.
A news release from the department said that on Nov. 12, Dixon assaulted a 67-year-old man who suffered a broken jaw and lost sight in his right eye.
The alleged assault occurred at Dixon’s mother’s home on Scotch Pine Drive in Pocono Summit. Dixon fled the home following the assault, and his mother told police last week that he no longer lived there.
On Wednesday, Pocono Mountain Regional officers and state troopers went to a home on Grouse Trail in Albrightsville after learning that Dixon was living there.
He was arrested without incident and arraigned on charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, simple assault and related charges.
Bail was set at $50,000 in the case.
An additional $500 bail was set because Dixon had failed to appear at a hearing in February for a drug possession charge for possessing heroin.
Dixon was sent to Monroe County Correctional Facility.
A preliminary hearing in the case is set for Dec. 27 in Magisterial District Court in Coolbaugh Township.
