• Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 7:52 p.m. Dec. 24 on West Lizard Creek Road (State Route 895) in East Penn Township. Police said they included Joe M. Smith, 19, of New Ringgold, and Harley D. Hull, 19, of Lehighton, the drivers of the vehicles, and Christina M. Maillet, 18, of Lansford, who was a passenger with Hull. They sustained suspected minor injuries, according to police, who said no emergency medical services transport was required. Police did not provide the details of the crash, except to say Hull was cited after the crash for driving while his operating privilege is suspended or revoked.
• One person was hurt in a two-vehicle crash at 3:24 p.m. Dec. 22 on Mahoning Mountain Road in East Penn Township. Police said Philip J. Noce, 37, of Albrightsville, the driver of one of the vehicles, sustained minor injuries and required an emergency medical services transport. Police did not provide the details of the incident, but said the other driver was a 17-year-old boy from Palmerton. He was uninjured. A passenger with him, a 16-year-old girl from Kunkletown, and a 4-year-old boy from Albrightsville who was traveling with Noce, but was secure in a child safety seat, were uninjured as well.
• A 2015 Dodge Dart sustained heavy damages and needed to be towed from the scene of a crash at 8:53 a.m. Dec. 14 on Centre Street in Parryville. State police said the crash happened south of the Cherry Hill Road intersection, on a snow-covered downhill slope. Police said Zachary J. Borger, 25, of Parryville, was operating the vehicle and was traveling too fast for the conditions, causing him to lose control. The vehicle exited the southbound shoulder of the roadway and struck a tree with its front end. After impact, due to its increased rate of speed, the vehicle rotated one-quarter turn clockwise before coming to final rest facing west on the southbound lane of Center Street. Borger was uninjured.
