State police at the Lehighton barracks were summoned to an incident in Towamensing Township on Jan. 23 after a woman refused to return a cat belonging to a couple.
Police said the 65-year-old woman from the township refused to return the cat to two 20-year-olds, one man and one woman, from Towamensing Township.
Police did not provide the names of anyone involved.
The cat was supposedly missing from the owners between 4 p.m. Jan. 18 and 2:26 p.m. Jan. 23.
Police have labeled the nature of the incident as a “theft of property lost, mislaid or delivered by mistake.” The investigation is continuing.
