A traffic stop made at 2:59 a.m. March 24 in the area of Route 209 and South First Street in Lehighton by state police at the Lehighton barracks resulted in a Philadelphia man being charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police said they stopped the vehicle driven by a 37-year-old man who committed numerous traffic violations and police found the drugs and paraphernalia in his possession.
Police did not release the man’s name.
