A 54-year-old homeless woman who created a disturbance in Summit Hill was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant out for her arrest and committed to the Carbon County Correctional Facility in Nesquehoning.
Police said they were called to the 200 block of East Richards Avenue at 1:15 a.m. March 10 for an out-of-control individual. Upon arrival, they made contact with Mary Heller, who police said was highly intoxicated and belligerent.
Police said further investigation revealed a full extradition warrant was out of Luzerne County against Heller.
In another report, police said Michael Miller, 49, of 120 W. Fell St., Summit Hill, was taken into custody and committed to the county jail.
Police said they observed him walking in the community at 7:30 p.m. March 16 and were aware that a warrant was out for his arrest. They were able to take him into custody without incident.
