Slatington police report on arrests

Slatington police reported on the following arrests made by officers recently.

Betty Wenzel, 45, of 485 S. Walnut St., Apt. B, Slatington, was cited following a vehicle stop on March 3 at 11:17 p.m. along Chestnut Street. She was initially stopped for no exhaust on her vehicle. She was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Tammie Haydt, 44, of 221 Diamond St., Slatington, was cited for public drunkenness on March 7 at 11:43 p.m. on Dowell Street. Police initially responded to a suspicious vehicle report.

Delilah Reader, 36, of 3921 E. Grant St., Slatington, was cited for driving under the influence of a controlled substance following a traffic stop on March 18 at 1:10 a.m. in the 600 block of Main Street. She was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and a motor vehicle code violation of expired registration.

William Jones, 57, of 3 Shantytown Road, Wilkes-Barre, was cited for driving under the influence of a controlled substance following a traffic stop on March 18 at 9:29 p.m. at North Walnut and Main streets. He was also charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and motor vehicle code violation of careless driving.

Jonathan Alvarez Leon, 18, of 1933 Alberta Drive, Whitehall, has been charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance following a traffic stop on March 29 at 10:28 p.m. in the 600 block of Main Street.

Victor Jarrouj, 21, of 814 Fifth St., Whitehall, was also cited at the scene of the Leon traffic stop for possession of a small amount of marijuana.

Teri Christina Faroux Spencer, 21, of 42 White Oak Drive, Hunlock Creek, Luzerne County, was cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana on March 31 at 11:45 p.m. in the area of Main and Grove streets.
