The theft of a $4,000 bike from a Colorado man who was a guest at the Blue Mountain Ski Resort in Lower Towamensing Township is under investigation by state police at Lehighton.
Police said the 30-year-old man from Boulder reported the theft to security at the lodge at 4:08 p.m. June 16.
Police said it was determined through a review of video surveillance the suspect is a white man with brown hair. He was wearing a light brown hat, sunglasses, a black cut-off T-shirt and khaki shorts.
Police said the man fled the scene on a Blue Pivot Mach 429 Trail XTPRO bike, and then left the premises by driving away in a while 2008 style, four-full-door Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Serra pickup truck that had a large after-market front black off-road bumper. The vehicle also had a pinto style trailer hitch in the rear.
Police said the suspect was last seen traveling south on Blue Mountain Drive, towards Lehigh County.
Anyone with information about the vehicle, bike or suspect is asked to contact police at 610-681-1850.
