State police at Lehighton will be conducting sobriety checkpoints this coming holiday weekend along with roving DUI patrols to try and reduce the number of crashes, fatalities and injuries on state roads.

The patrols will be conducted beginning Friday through Monday along various roads in Carbon and Monroe counties.
