The Psychology Department at Kutztown University hosted its annual Psi Chi induction and student awards ceremony on April 16.
Emma Hope of Tamaqua was one of seven who won an award.
Hope, a member of the Class of 2025 who is a psychology major with a minor in women and gender studies, earned the Fall Academic Achievement Award.
Hope’s achievements include Phi Theta Kappa’s All Pennsylvania Academic Team; New Century Transfer Pathway Scholar; and Hites Scholar.
She also won Lehigh Carbon Community College’s 2023 Student of the Year and PennACE’s 2023 Student of the Year Awards.
She is currently serving as president of Tau Sigma National Honor Society and offers her assistance as a freshman facilitator during New Student Orientation.
She is also a tour guide for transfer admissions; a transfer mentor for Housing and Residence Life; and a student assistant in the Office of the President.
“Emma is an exceptional student and a gracious and kind young woman,” Kutztown President Dr. Kenneth S. Hawkinson said. “She provided excellent service to the Office of the President as our student worker. We look forward to follow what we are certain will be her wonderful accomplishments in the future.”
