The Brodhead Watershed Association announces an upcoming event, “Gardening for Wildlife: How People Benefit When Nature Thrives,” from 6 to 7 p.m. on May 6, at the Brodhead Creek Heritage Center.

The program delves into the powerful link between native plant gardening and the health of our local ecosystems. Discover how simple choices in your own backyard can support wildlife, restore habitat, and create personal moments of connection with nature.

Amy Girardi, Monroe County Penn State Master Gardener, will lead an educational talk exploring the “why” behind planting native species.

Learn how gardening for wildlife not only provides essential food, water and shelter for birds, amphibians, and mammals, but also offers a fulfilling way to enjoy and nurture the natural world around you.
