Senior Center
The Panther Valley Senior Center announced the menu for April 28-May 2.
Monday: Stuffed Pepper, Mashed Potatoes, Carrots, Yogurt or Ham and Cheese Sandwich.
Tuesday: BBQ Riblet, Diced Potatoes, Baked Beans, Cantaloupe or Chicken Caesar Salad.
Wednesday: Stuffed Chicken, Potatoes, Peas and Onions, Applesauce or BBQ Chicken Sandwich.
Thursday: Minestrone Soup, Meatball Sandwich, Salad, Pears or Beef and Cheese Sandwich.
Friday: Breaded Fish, Macaroni and Cheese, Broccoli and Cauliflower, Pudding or Chicken Ranch Salad.
The senior center also announced the following events.
Movie and Popcorn on April 25 at 10 a.m.
Games on April 28 at 11 a.m.; Bingo on April 29 at 10:45 a.m.; Practice for Senior Games on April 30 at 10:30 a.m.; Po-Keeno on May 1 at 11 a.m.; Practice for Senior Games on May 2 at 10:30 a.m.
The center will be closed from May 5 through May 16 for Senior Games competition. The annual Carbon County Senior Games start May 6. Make sure to fill out your application at the senior center.
Cards, pool, games available daily from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. New members are welcome.

Nesquehoning
Historical Society
The Nesquehoning Historical Society is hosting a full-day railroad excursion to Pottsville at 9 a.m. June 26.
The Reading and Northern train leaves the Nesquehoning station and travels to Pottsville, where passengers can then enjoy a variety of activities, including a tour the Yuengling Brewery, the Yuengling Mansion, Jerry’s Car Museum and more.
