West Penn Township supervisors took the following action last week:

• Awarded a contract to Ehrlich Pest Control in the amount of $4,750 for weed control. Of that, $2,800 would be for bridges and guard rails, $1,450 for West Penn Zions Park and $500 for the J.E. Morgan Park.

• Agreed to advertise for sealed bids for the sale of a 2019 police pickup truck.

• Appointed a committee to open the 2025 seal coat bids after 2 p.m. May 1.

• Announced that the West Penn Township Police Department will participate in a semiannual National Drug Take Back Day on April 26 at the police department.
