Senior Center
The Panther Valley Senior Center announced the menu for April 21 to 25.
Monday: Breaded Pork, Mashed Potatoes, Corn, Jell-O or Turkey and Cheese Sandwich.
Tuesday: Chicken Chili, BBQ Chicken Sandwich, Beets, Applesauce or Tuna Salad Plate
Wednesday: Sweet and Sour Meatballs, Fried Rice, Asian Vegetables, Pineapples or Greek Salad with Chicken
Thursday: Chicken with Mushrooms, Rotini, Mixed Vegetables, Orange or Chicken Salad Sandwich
Friday: Kielbasa, Pierogies, Green Beans, Fruit Salad or Chicken and Cheese Sandwich
The senior center also announced the following events.
Center closed April 18.
Easter Party on April 21 at 10:30 a.m.; Bingo on April 22 at 10:45 a.m.; Practice for Senior Games on April 23 at 10 a.m.; Po-Keeno on April 24 at 11 a.m.; Movie and Popcorn on April 25 at 10 a.m.
Senior Games start May 6. Make sure to fill out your application at the senior center.
Cards, Pool, Games, available daily from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. New members are welcome.

Nesquehoning
Historical Society
The Nesquehoning Historical Society is hosting a full-day railroad excursion to Pottsville at 9 a.m. June 26.
The Reading and Northern train leaves the Nesquehoning station and travels to Pottsville where passengers can then enjoy a variety of activities, including a tour of the Yuengling Brewery, the Yuengling Mansion, Jerry’s Car Museum and more.

Panther Valley Golden Agers
The Panther Valley Golden Agers met on April 4 with 13 members present.
President Diane Gould opened the meeting and the invocation was read by a member. The secretary and treasurer’s report were accepted. One member distributed Easter treats. Four prizes were chanced off and won by members, including an Easter basket, candy, coasters and salt and pepper shakers. The meeting closed and bingo was played.
The next meeting will be held at 1 p.m. April 28 at the St. Ann’s Senior Apartments in Lansford.
