State police at the Stroudsburg barracks reported the following incidents:

• Police said the driver of a vehicle they pulled over in a traffic stop was taken into custody for driving under the influence of alcohol.

They did not provide the name, address or type of vehicle that was stopped at 12:56 a.m. March 15 on Rimrock Drive, Hamilton Township.

• Police were called to an attempt to cash a fake $100 bill at a gas station on Route 209 in Hamilton Township.

It occurred at 2:05 p.m. Feb. 17 when someone tried to pass the bill to buy gas for a 2025 Hyundai Elantra.

The station employee recognized the bill as being fake and refused the sale, after which the person left the scene with the bill, police said.
