Palmerton Police report on incidents

Palmerton Police Department reported the following incidents:

DUI:

Justin Hahn, 19, Palmerton, was charged with four counts of DUI, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and unauthorized use of automobile, for an incident Sept. 3 at Delaware Avenue and Third Street.

Calvin Koch, 20, Palmerton, was charged with three counts of DUI, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, careless driving and windshield obstructions, for an incident Sept. 29 at Alley E and Third Street.

Jeffrey Espinal, 23, Palmerton, was charged with three counts of DUI, possession of a small amount of marijuana, turning movements and required signals, and careless driving, for an incident Sept. 3 at Delaware Avenue and Third Street.

Christopher Valek, 31, Kutztown, was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of children, driving under suspension, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and speeding, for an incident Nov. 18 in the 200 block of Delaware Avenue.

Simple assault:

A juvenile referral was filed against a 12-year-old Palmerton girl for simple assault, disorderly conduct, harassment and criminal mischief, for an incident Oct. 12 in the 300 block of Delaware Avenue.

Unlawful possession of controlled substance:

Andrew Arnold, 29, Palmerton, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, for an incident May 24 at Mauch Chunk Road and Fireline Road.

Public drunkenness:

Stephen Meleschuk, 59, Palmerton, was charged with public drunkenness, for an incident Nov. 21 at Seventh Street and Franklin Avenue.

Maximum gross weight:

Beruzka Mesa-Sanches, 36, Wharton, New Jersey; Edier Grisals-Velasquez, 48, Dover, New Jersey; Marco Naranjo, 50, Rockaway, New Jersey; Wilman Vargas Coronado, 47, of Dover, New Jersey; Andres Ocampo, 27, of Dover, New Jersey; Dilman Carrillo, 52, Jersey City, New Jersey; and Felipe Holguin, 36, Dover, New Jersey, were charged with maximum gross weight, for incidents Nov. 29 at Mauch Chunk Road and Franklin Avenue.

Citations:

Police also issued two citations for speeding and one for vehicle violation.
