PennDOT looks for comments on 12-year plan

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and the State Transportation Commission have kicked off the public comment period for the development of the 2027 Twelve Year Program update.

The public comment period is an important step in the process to hear from individuals with their comments about multimodal transportation needs, issues and concerns.

People can share their priorities and pinpoint transportation needs within their community by taking the online Transportation Survey at https://survey.talkpatransportation.com/#/Survey; or emailing comments to RA-PennDOTSTC@pa.gov, calling 717-783-2262 from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. to request a printed copy of the survey, or to complete the survey by telephone. The STC and PennDOT will document, review, and use the public feedback provided to help identify needs and prioritize transportation projects across the state.

The deadline to take the survey is April 30.

In addition to the survey, PennDOT will host an Online Public Forum from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday The forum will feature a presentation from PennDOT leadership and members of the STC, followed by a Q&A session.

You can register for the online public forum at https://talkpatransportation.com/opf-registration.
