Woodcock watch to be held tonight

An American Woodcock Watch will be held from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. Friday at Tuscarora State Park’s Crow Trail parking lot on the west end of the park in Barnesville.

Attendees will look and listen for woodcocks calling and doing their aerial display at dusk, and have the option of taking a short hike to listen for owls.

This event is not dog friendly, and will involve walking over some uneven ground. Please bring a flashlight or headlamp, wear sturdy shoes, and dress for the weather.

Contact Robin Tracey, park naturalist, at 570-573-7293, or email Dave Kruel at davekruel300@gmail.com for more information.
