• Police were called to an aggravated assault incident at the Forest Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in the borough on March 26.
They said a resident who was housed in the facility’s dementia unit wrapped her oxygen hose around the neck of a worker while attempting to choke her. Police said they observed “redness” around the victim’s neck from the incident.
They said after consultation with the Carbon County District Attorney’s Office it was decided no charges will be filed at this time.
Police said officials at the facility took the steps necessary to assist those involved in the incident.
• Police responded to a criminal trespass incident on March 25 at a residence in the borough.
They said a woman reported there was a male in her home without authorization, who police said it was determined he climbed onto the roof of the home and entered it through a bedroom window.
They said the intruder then called the woman and told her he was inside the residence.
