Kutztown University women’s basketball placed Bella Arcuri, Abbey Hearn, Leila Hurley and Shannon Remolde on the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
Hurley, a junior from Jim Thorpe, took another step forward on her way to All-PSAC East Second Team honors. The guard averaged a career-best 10.7 points and 2.4 rebounds per game in 31 appearances (29 starts). She knocked down a career-high 69 3-pointers, which ranks eighth in a single-season in program history. Hurley is majoring in elementary education and has a 3.85 GPA.
Remolde took the court in all 34 games and made 23 starts, helping Kutztown to a 22-12 overall record.
Hurley and Remolde are back-to-back CSC Academic All-District selections while Arcuri and Hearn are first-time honorees.
The CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Eligibility for the honor requires student-athletes to be at least a sophomore and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher. Graduate students must have a 3.50 GPA or higher in both their undergraduate and graduate studies. Athletically, student-athletes must have competed in 90% of their team’s games or started 66% of their team’s games during the current season. Schools can submit up to four nominations in the sport of basketball.
