Fire companies from Lehigh and Schuylkill counties responded to a brush fire Tuesday evening along Route 309 on the Blue Mountain in Lynn Township. The fire was reported around 6:30 p.m. by numerous motorists traveling the roadway. The fire was along the north berm in numerous areas over a quarter to a half mile in length.
