The Carbon Model Railroad Society held a train show Sunday at the Diamond Fire Company in Walnutport.
Garry Mack, president and event organizer said, “It has been a steady group of shoppers.”
Once all vendors are set up, if there is time before the doors open, the vendors shop, sell or trade with each other.
Model and toy trains-all gauges, books and railroadiania, private collections, test track and operating layouts were all available.
The Carbon Model Railroad Society has been going strong for over 35 years.
All fundraisers are to promote model railroad trains as well as a way to pay the organization’s regular bills, water, sewer and lights, etc. for our building, located at 529 Ore Street, Bowmanstown.
The next fundraiser is Christmas in July Open House, July 12 and 13; July 19 and 20; July 26 and 27.
New and pre-owned trains and accessories for sale on the 2nd floor plus donations are welcome.
Larry Kohler has been bringing his model of the Reading Railroad Train to meets for 20 years. Kohler put the train in a suitcase which took him about a year to construct. Brasen Alballo, 6 years old, loves trains since he was a baby. He has trains starting with Thomas the Tank, all the way up to real train sets. Brasen enjoyed learning about Kohler’s train in a case.
