State police at Frackville
State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following incidents:
• Someone stole a Tasco trail camera valued at $50 from a 49-year-old Mahanoy City man.
Police said they were called at 11:27 a.m. March 3 to Park Place Road in Mahanoy Township for the incident.
• Police are investigating a reckless endangerment incident they were called to at 10:03 a.m. March 1 on Crest Street in Rush Township.
They received a report that a 43-year-old Barnesville woman who is dependent upon care was being neglected, police said.
• A 75-year-old Pottsville woman was targeted in a theft by deception incident police were called to at 8:22 a.m. Feb. 21 on Valley Road in Cass Township.
She told police she was contacted on social media and befriended by an account holder who claimed to know her and her family. She said she used the Spike application to communicate and sent the individual approximately $1,500 in Apple Pay Cards.
• A 45-year-old Tamaqua man was charged with “assault/fear by physical menace” after police responded to a verbal altercation on Valley Road, Walker Township.
They listed two Tamaqua men, ages 53 and 45, as victims.
Police said the suspect pointed a handgun at one man and threatened him. They said an arrest warrant was issued for the suspect, who he was taken into custody without incident.
• A 49-year-old Tamaqua man was charged with harassment by physical contact after police responded to an active domestic incident at 10:43 p.m. Feb. 1 on West Earley Avenue, Coaldale.
A 40-year-old Coaldale woman told police that her boyfriend grabbed her and threw her to the ground. She said he fled the premises before police arrived.
• A 32-year-old Summit Hill man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after police made a traffic stop at 2:46 a.m. Feb. 15.
He was stopped in a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee for summary traffic violations in the 200 block of East Phillips Street, Coaldale, at which time police said they observed signs of impairment.
• Jonathan Houser, 36, of Tamaqua, was charged with violating a Protection From Abuse court order after police responded to an incident at 4:04 p.m. Feb. 24 on East Broad Street, Tamaqua.
Police said a 43-year-old woman from Coaldale told them her ex-boyfriend violated the court order by sending her text messages and calling her.
