A Washington Township man has been charged in a shooting incident that occurred late Thursday night in the municipality.

Pennsylvania State Police, Troop M, Bethlehem, responded at 11:29 p.m. to the 6300 block of Lamar Court, for a male who had discharged a firearm inside a residence.

Upon arrival, troopers were able to take a 47-year-old man into custody without incident.

The suspect has been charged with four counts each of recklessly endangering another person, terroristic threats, and simple assault; and one count each of possession of firearm prohibited and discharge of a firearm into occupied structure.

Police said five people were inside the residence, and no one was injured.
