State police at Fern Ridge - crashes
State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following crashes:
• Mark Lovett, 69, of Stroudsburg, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after police were called to a motor vehicle crash at 10:13 p.m. Feb. 12.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Mountain and Cays roads in Jackson Township when he was driving a 2019 Ford Edge. Police said he was found unconscious at the scene.
• Craig F. Holmes Jr., 19, of Bushkill, had possible injuries after a one-vehicle crash at 5:22 p.m. Feb. 15 on Toll Road in Chestnuthill Township.
Police said he was transported for an evaluation by personnel from the Lehigh Valley Health Network EMS corps to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Pocono, East Stroudsburg.
Police said he was driving a 2012 Nissan Rogue southbound when he lost control of it due to inclement weather conditions. The vehicle went off the right side of the road and hit a tree. It sustained disabling damage and had to be towed from the scene.
• Addison A. Garone, 24, of Effort, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 2:42 p.m. Feb. 15 on Lower Mountain Drive, Chestnuthill Township.
Police said she was driving a 2017 Ford Fusion eastbound when she lost control of it due to inclement weather conditions. The car spun clockwise and hit a stop sign. It had to be towed from the scene, police said.
• A 2020 International Harvester flipped onto its side in a crash at 3:34 p.m. Feb. 11 in the roundabout at routes 209 and 115 in Chestnuthill Township. The driver, Uzziel K. Ben Israel, 33, of Philadelphia, was uninjured.
Police said he was negotiating the roundabout when a silver SUV crossed over into his lane. They said he overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle, which landed on its passenger side. It was towed from the scene.
Police said Ben Israel was cited after the crash.
• Kevin G. Maldonado, 25, of Brodheadsville, was uninjured in a two-vehicle crash at 8:55 p.m. Feb. 8 at the intersection of Route 209 and Silver Valley Road in Chestnuthill Township.
Police said he was driving a 2004 Suzuki Verona that was hit by an unknown vehicle whose operator fled the scene.
