Turnpike crashes

State police at the Pocono barracks reported the following crashes that occurred on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike:

• Michael T. Rejzer, 33, of Allentown, was cited after a one-vehicle crash at 5 a.m. Feb. 13 at mile marker 84.8 in Penn Forest Township. He was uninjured in the incident.

Police said he was driving a 2019 Kia Rio northbound when he lost control of it. The car struck a guide rail on the right side of he road and was heavily damaged, police said.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 2:40 p.m. Feb. 10 at the intersection of the Mahoning Interchange and Route 209 in Franklin Township.

Police said the crash occurred when Giovanni M. Marini, 23, of Lehighton, driving a 2017 Honda, failed to stop in time and struck the rear of a 2017 GMC Acadia driven by Elizabeth K. Stuckley, 45, also of Lehighton, who had stopped at a stop sign on the ramp.

Marini was cited after the crash, police said.

• Tyler T. Moran, 27, of Hazleton, was cited after a one-vehicle crash at 11:06 p.m. Feb. 8 at mile marker 68.5 in Washington Township.

He and a passenger, Gabriella Echeverry, 27, also of Hazleton, were uninjured in the incident.

Police said he was driving a 2007 Lexus northbound when it struck the center barrier.

• Three drivers escaped injuries in a crash at 9:35 a.m. Feb. 6 at mile marker 93.8 in Kidder Township.

Police said the crash occurred when Steven R. Mulder, 35, of Levittown, driving a 2008 Nissan northbound, spun out due to slush in the road, hitting the center concrete barrier.

They said a 2022 Freightliner driven by Bradly J. McCaffrey, 63, of Lewistown, and a 2022 Volvo operated by Abhi Aggarwal, 25, of West St. Paul, Minnesota, were side by side at the time, and the Freightliner hit the Nissan, whose passenger-side mirror simultaneously struck the Volvo.

Police said Mulder was cited after the crash.

• Hugh E. Ridenour, 71, of Warminster, had suspected serious injuries after a one-vehicle crash at 3:45 p.m. Feb. 2 at mile marker 75.4 in Parryville borough.

Police said he was transported by personnel from the Lehighton Ambulance Association to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Carbon Campus, Franklin Township.

Ridenour was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado southbound when it struck the center concrete median barrier and came to rest facing south, partially on the shoulder and left lane, police said. It had to be towed from the scene.

• No one was injured in a three-vehicle crash at 5:36 p.m. Jan. 21 at mile marker 92.6 in Kidder Township.

Police said the crash occurred when Sajandeep Singh, 26, of Fresno, California, was driving a 2022 Peterbuilt southbound and attempted to swerve around a 2012 Freightliner operated by Christian Benalcazar, 29, of Stamford, Connecticut, striking it in the rear. The striking truck then hit the cement median before crossing back over onto the right shoulder.

Meanwhile, police said, a 2021 Subaru Legacy operated by Carol L. Gheysens, 46, of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, struck a tire from the Freightliner that was in the road.
