A female motorist was injured this afternoon in a crash in Mahoning Township. The accident occurred just after 1 p.m. as she was traveling along Gilberts Hill road and lost control. It was initially reported that her sport utility vehicle may have struck a home. The victim was treated at the scene by members of the Mahoning Valley ambulance and Lehighton paramedics before being transported to St. Luke’s Carbon Campus. Mahoning township police are investigating the incident.
