February 8, 2011 — Tamaqua’s Amy Zehner becomes just the second player in program history to reach the 1,000-1,000 club during a win against Panther Valley that clinches the Schuylkill League Division 1 title for the Blue Raiders. The other member of the 1,000-point 1,000-rebound club is Cindy Miller (1977-80). Zehner — who already had reached the 1,000-point plateau in her career — scores nine straight points in the first quarter as Tamaqua, coached by Joe Berezwick, takes an early lead. Zehner reaches her milestone rebound total later in the period on an offensive board. Zehner finishes with 25 points and 11 rebounds in the 56-26 win, while Cassie Eroh adds 13 points.
