The following local students were named to the Penn State University dean’s list:

• Jack Harrison Tharp, son of Blake and Karen Tharp, New Ringgold, was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester in the Division of Undergraduate Studies at Penn State University, University Park.

Tharp is a first-year student studying business and is a 2024 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School.

• CJ Kern of Palmerton was named to the dean’s list at Pennsylvania State University for the fall 2024 semester.

Kern, a junior, is majoring in enterprise technology integration with a focus in cybersecurity and risk analysis. He is a 2022 graduate of the Palmerton Area High School.
