The Pleasant Valley boys secured a postseason berth in their final game of the season Wednesday, rolling past Moravian Academy.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Pleasant Valley-Moravian

Pleasant Valley clinched a district playoff berth by rolling past Moravian Academy 56-27 in its regular-season finale.

Zach Prator scored 10 of his game-high 24 points in the opening quarter as the Bears raced to a 22-2 start.

JJ Moore added 12 points for the winners, while Madden Roselli chipped in with nine.

The Lions were led by Joel Okune’s 10 points.

Weatherly-Nativity

Kelly Reiner scored four fourth-quarter points to help Weatherly pull out a 22-18 Schuylkill League victory over Nativity.

The two teams were tied heading into the final period, but the Wreckers used a 6-2 frame to earn a season sweep of the Golden Girls.

Reiner finished with a game-high 13 points, while Finley McNamara topped Nativity with eight.

Panther Valley-Palmerton

Panther Valley gained pins from Kyla McQuillen and Anelia Bennick to help earn a 30-24 victory over Palmerton.

McQuillen registered a fall at 136, while Bennick’s pin came at 170. PV also benefited from three forfeits.

The Bombers received pins from Sydney Amorim (118), Cassidy Merkel (124) and Lea Schaible (142).

Tamaqua edged Panther Valley by a 55-53 score.

Gavin Edmonds scored a team-high 16 points for the Raiders, while Gavin Shannon finished with 15.

The Panthers received a game-high 20 points from Cy Maynard.

Tamaqua-North Schuylkill

Tamaqua topped North Schuylkill, 49-35.

Gavin Shannon poured in a game-high 22 points for the Raiders, while Gavin Edmonds chipped in with 10.

The Spartans were led by Hannon’s 10 points.

8th Grade

Weatherly-Tamaqua

Carter Minnick scored a game-high 17 points to lead Weatherly to a 46-39 win over Tamaqua.

The Wreckers also received 13 points from Wyatt Kokinda, while Cain Conner topped the Raiders with 12 .

7th Grade

Weatherly-Tamaqua

Tamaqua posted a 33-18 victory over Weatherly.

Cain Conner scored a game-high 13 points for the Raiders, while Tavin Makovec chipped in with seven.

The Wreckers were led by Ryley Jacoby’s six points.

8th/7th Grade

Marian-Panther Valley

Panther Valley pulled out a 50-43 victory over Marian.

Jayden Honshiko topped the Panthers with 15 points, while Mikey Demyanovich and Corrigan Crampsie both added eight.

The Colts received a game-high 22 points from Lee.

8th Grade

Weatherly-Tamaqua

Katie Knock netted seven points to help Weatherly gain a 14-7 victory over Tamaqua.

The Raiders received a team-high five points from Shaylee Gormley.

7th Grade

Weatherly-Tamaqua

Addy O’Gurek’s 12 points helped Tamaqua gain a 24-19 victory over Weatherly.

The Raiders also received eight points from Emily Fink, while the Wreckers were led by Alexia Kehler’s five.

8th/7th Grade

Panther Valley-Marian

Panther Valley posted a 29-16 victory over Marian.

Paton tallied a game-high 17 points for the Panthers, while Breslin chipped in with eight.

Sanfilippo topped Marian with seven points.
