State police at Frackville
State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following incidents:
• Police are investigating the theft of $7,000 worth of car parts from a property on Valley Road in Cass Township.
A 45-year-old man from Smithville, West Virginia, told police that between Dec. 15 and 10:34 a.m. Jan. 27 someone gained entry to his 1996 Ford, and stole the parts.
• James Englert, 48, of Tamaqua, was charged with violating a Protection From Abuse court order after police responded to an incident at 10:29 a.m. Jan. 30 on East Foster Avenue in Coaldale.
The victim is a 33-year-old woman from Coaldale, police said.
• Police are investigating a theft that was reported at 4:06 p.m. Jan. 31 by a 58-year-old woman from Mahanoy City.
She said a gold tennis bracelet with diamonds, valued at $400, a gold ring with three diamonds, valued at $300, and a gold Mack Truck pin, also valued at $300, were stolen from her at a property on Park Place Road, Mahanoy Township.
• Police were called at 11:54 a.m. Feb. 1 to a property at Ridge Terrace, Coaldale, to probe a theft incident.
The victim, a 59-year-old man from Coaldale, reported someone stole a package from his front porch.
• A 50-year-old woman from Coaldale reported to police at 3:20 p.m. Feb. 1 that a large HVAC unit was stolen from her backyard on East Phillips Street.
The unit is valued at $2,000, police said.
• Daniel Hagans, 29, of Freeland, was charged by police with assault after they were called to a domestic dispute at 9:04 p.m. Jan. 31 at the intersection of Lofty and Mile Hill roads in Kline Township.
Police said a 29-year-old woman from Hazle Township had cuts, bruises and facial swelling from being punched by Hagans.
She was transported by emergency medical services personnel to a hospital for treatment.
