Carbon County Friends of Animals will hold its annual bingo fundraiser on May 4 at The Orioles in Lehighton.

In preparation of the event, the nonprofit organization that aims to care for shelter cats until they find forever homes, needs help with sponsorships for bingo prizes.

Prizes include Vera Bradley bags, cash and gift cards.

In addition to bingo prizes, CCFOA is also seeking donations of baskets or basket items to be used for a basket raffle at the event.

Carbon County Friends of Animals is located at 77 W. 13th St., Jim Thorpe and cares for upwards of 150 cats at a time and depends on donations from the public to continue to operate.

• The 80’s Bar Bingo: 7-9 p.m. Feb. 6 at The 80’s Bar, 634 E. Patterson St., Lansford.

• Bake sale and basket raffle: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. March 8 at the Carbon Plaza Shopping Center, 1241 Blakeslee Blvd., Lehighton. Donations of baked goods and prizes for the basket raffle are being accepted by calling Poeldnurk.
