Palmerton Borough Council approved the following actions last week:

• Adopted an ordinance for handicapped parking requests.

• Appointments of Jason Behler, Shawn Rios, Dennis Behler, Kris Hoffner and Bernard Shea to the Pennsylvania Municipal Fire Department Support Team board of directors.

• Renewal of snowplow cooperation agreement with Lower Towamensing Township.

• Tax credit eligibility lists for Palmerton Municipal Fire Company Volunteer, Aquashicola Fire Company and Bowmanstown Volunteer Fire Company Volunteer.

• Appointment of a tax collector for balance of 2024 per capita taxes, $6,795 face plus $680 penalty plus $7,475.
