State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following incidents:
• Police are investigating a cruelty to animals report they received at 11:22 a.m. on Jan. 24.
They said the allegation of neglect to the animals took place at a property on Valley Street in Blythe Township.
• Police responded to a theft report at a property on Second Street in Coaldale. It was reported to have occurred at 9 a.m. on Nov. 19. The victim was not identified.
Stolen were various power and hand tools, including Dewalt, Craftsman and Snap-On brands valued at $2,000; a battery-powered chain saw, $299; a magnetized drill press, $400; plastic bins containing antique lamps, $3,000; miscellaneous clothing, $300; a Roku television, $300; a dual Epiphone guitar, $400; and $2,495 of cash in various denominations.
• Barbara Williams, 77, of Coaldale, was cited for false alarms/dialing devices after police were called to a false burglar alarm at a property on East Phillips Street in Coaldale at 1:21 p.m. Jan. 25.
Police said it was the third false alarm at the property in a 12-month period.
