Man dies 23 years after was hit by bus

An Allentown man who was struck by a bus 23 years ago in that city died at 6:46 p.m. Saturday in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township.

Lehigh County Coroner Daniel L. Buglio said the death of Nassim Younes, 86, was due to an incident where he was struck by a school bus at 3:30 p.m. Jan. 4, 2002, as he was attempting to cross West Tilghman Street.

His death was attributed to traumatic brain injuries.

The coroner’s office and city police investigated the incident in 2002.
