Police said he was transported by personnel from the McAdoo Fire Company Ambulance Association to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.

Leber was driving a 2018 Freightliner southbound when it went onto the shoulder of the highway and jackknifed before traveling off the shoulder and striking an embankment.

The truck was towed from the scene.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 3 p.m. Jan. 17 at the intersection of Tumbling Run and Mountain roads in Blythe Township.

Police said the crash occurred when David L. Blume, 76, of Tamaqua, driving a 1998 Lincoln east on Tumbling Run Road, failed to yield to oncoming traffic while attempting to turn left onto Mountain Road and the car struck a 2015 Kia driven by Mark D. Schneider, 54, of New Ringgold.
