Tamaqua police said they obtained a warrant for the arrest of a man who threatened to kill a woman and rammed his vehicle into one she was riding in.
Police said Travis Hill, 32, is facing charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, simple assault, disorderly conduct, harassment, careless driving and reckless driving.
According to police, officers were called to the Tamaqua Police Department around 1 a.m. Jan. 14 and spoke to a woman who said she was visiting a home in the borough and had been ignoring calls from Hill.
The woman, who is Hill’s ex-girlfriend, said that just after midnight, she and another person decided to leave the home. When they did, Hill pulled his vehicle next to theirs, pounded on his steering wheel and screamed, “You are (expletive) dead.” The woman said Hill turned his vehicle around and rammed it three times into the back of the vehicle she was riding in.
The two were able to keep a distance between their vehicle and Hill as they traveled to the police department to report the incident. Hill followed but left when they arrived at the department.
Police said they were unsuccessful in trying to contact Hill.
