Injuries are averted in I-380 crash

The driver and passenger of a car that crashed off Interstate 380 in Coolbaugh Township escaped injuries in the 6:50 p.m. incident on March 3, according to state police at the Stroudsburg barracks.

Police said Eric T. Susco, 21, of Clarence, New York, was driving the 2015 Chevrolet northbound on the interstate, which was snow-covered at the time. Police said he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to exit the roadway on the left side. It traveled about 25 feet down an embankment and traveled up a slight incline, at which time it struck four trees. The vehicle slid sideways and came to rest lodged between two trees. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Police said Susco was cited for the crash.
