State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported the following crashes:
• Mason J. Hollis, 19, of Schnecksville, was cited after a two-vehicle mishap at 7:07 a.m. Jan. 4 on Route 873 in North Whitehall Township.
Police said he was driving a 2013 Dodge Dart northbound when he fell asleep and the car left the roadway, striking an electrical pedestrian crosswalk sign and yield sign.
The car sustained disabling damage, police said.
• Police investigated a one-car crash at 6:31 a.m. Jan. 1 on Furnace Road in Washington Township.
They said Jerel S. Thomas, 25, of 1184 Grand Mesa Drive, Saylorsburg, was driving a 2016 Kia Optima northbound when he swerved to avoid striking a large tree that was blocking both lanes of travel. The car left the roadway and struck a PPL utility pole. It had to be towed from the scene, police said.
• Austin J. Bangor, 32, of Slatington, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 11:27 p.m. Dec. 20 on Heidelberg Heights Road in Heidelberg Township.
Police said he was driving a 2003 Dodge Ram pickup northbound when he failed to negotiate a left curve while the road was partially snow-covered. The truck hit a guide rail on the east shoulder, and due to the grade of the road rolled onto its side.
The truck had to be towed from the scene.
Police said Bangor was cited after the crash.
