Pl. Valley inks agreement with support staff union
The Pleasant Valley School Board approved a memorandum of understanding with the support staff union Thursday evening regarding the number of pay periods in the 2025-26 school year.
The memorandum states that the number of pay periods in a school year can fluctuate between 26 and 27 depending on how the calendar falls.
The district and the union discussed which would be the case for the 2025-26 school year and agreed for it to be 27 weeks, but the decision is not a precedent for future school years.
