Lehigh Township reorganizes, keeps same leadership
Lehigh Township held its annual organizational meeting on Monday.
The Supervisors will remain the same with Michael Jones as chairman, Gerald Pritchard as vice chairman, and David Hess, Cynthia Miller, and Janet Sheats as members.
Alice Rehrig will remain as manager/secretary/treasurer.
The supervisors authorized the treasurer to open any accounts established by prior or future ordinances or discussions of the board of supervisors at any of the approved depositories and any investment tools at Neff Bank and Truist and established the amount of treasurer’s bond of $1 million.
Elizabeth Amato will remain as zoning officer.
The supervisors reappointed David Backenstoe as the township solicitor.
Others reappointed are: Michael Corriere, planning commission solicitor.
Planning commission members, David Shulman (chairman), Bill Jones, Cynthia Miller, Todd Rousenberger, and Tim Bartlett.
Recreation commission will continue with Sandra Hopkins (chairman), Tammy Hess, David Hess, Jerry Pritchard, and Patrick VanderPloeg as members.
Zoning Hearing Board will remain the same with Katherine Mack as chairman and members Barry Haydt, Jim Hoppes, Adam Raker, Lynn Tammaro and alternate, Justin Hoppes. Solicitor is Neil Ettinger.
The municipal authority has a new chairman, Stephen Arnold. Members are Carl Sharpe, Duane Deppe, Matthew Motsko, and Phillip Gogel. Authority manager is Dave Getz with solicitor, Edward Andres of Corriere and Andres.
Mike Muffley, PE and Hanover Engineering Associates Inc. is the engineer. Township Sewage Enforcement Officer is Keystone Consulting Engineers Inc.
The dates for monthly meetings were established: Board of supervisors, second and fourth Tuesday at 7 p.m.; zoning hearing board, second Thursday at 6 p.m.; planning commission, second Monday at 6 p.m.; recreation board, third Monday at 7 p.m.
Supervisor Cindy Miller is the delegate to State Convention.
Supervisors approved the rate of $130 for the zoning hearing board solicitor.
David Kunsman Corporation, Certified Public Accountants of Easton, will conduct the 2024 audit of township records at a cost of $6,250.
