The West Penn Fire Department issued its report for December and its year-end report.

or the month, the department had 21 calls, which included four motor vehicle accidents; six wires/trees down; four medical assistance; and one each of smoke investigation, fire police, landing zone, structure fire, vehicle fire, automatic fire alarm and call for chief.

For 2024, the department responded to 260 calls which included: 24 structure fires; 19 brush fires; 42 motor vehicle accidents; 71 wires/trees down; 24 automatic fire alarms; seven landing zones; 16 fire police calls; 21 medical assistance; four pump details; 10 vehicle fires; 3 carbon monoxide emergencies; 11 chief requests; one transformer fire and one oil spill.
