The Monroe County commissioners approved the following items last week:

• Carbon-Monroe-Pike Mental Health and Development Services: Reappoint Nellie Gordon to the Advisory Board for a new term expiring Dec. 31, 2027.

• Children and Youth Services: Purchase of Service Agreements from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025 with: Phoenix House for $335,000 for residential group home and Clock Tower Schools for $200,000 for residential group home.

• Advertise the 2025-27 Monroe County Annual Bridge Deck Cleaning and Vegetation Control Program and proposals for a Tax Revenue Anticipation Note for 2025.

• Contractor service provider agreements for special public defenders from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31: attorneys Janet Catina, Brian Gaglione, Donald Leeth and Robert A. Saurman.

• Weitzmann, Weitzmann and Huffman LLC as county solicitor at $10,000 per month.

• Payments to Super Heat for work at the Monroe County Correctional Facility for emergency repairs in the amounts of $778.32 and $5,088.46.

• Rate change agreement with Securitas for armed security officer at a rate of $32.66 per hour.

• Agreement with Aura Fabrics for reupholstering 14 chairs for the historic courtroom for $5,000.

• Monroe County District Attorney: Contract Service Provider Agreement with E. David Christine, esquire, as District Attorney Emeritus/Mentor from Jan. 2 to Dec. 31 for $10,000.

• Pennsylvania Northeast Regional Railroad Authority: Reappoint Charles Garris to the board with a new term to expire Jan. 1, 2030.

• Pocono Mountains Municipal Airport Authority: Reappoint to the board with terms to expire Jan. 31, 2029 — Robert Deinarowicz Jr., Mark Turner and Steve Webster.

• Agreement with Mount Pocono Fence for $3,425 to install and repair fence at Ramsey School per contract with Stroudsburg Area School District.

• Approval of the Community Services Block Grant additional funds totaling $4,705 to CSS- Shepard’s Maternity Home for $1,568.34; Pocono Area Transitional Housing, $1,568.33; and Family Promise of the Poconos, $1,568.33.

• Approval of the 2025 Community Services Block Grant Work Plan stating the first quarter allocation of $132,828 to Monroe County, $97,744; Pike County, $24,146; and administrative, $10,938.
