State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following incidents:

• A 25-year-old Stroudsburg man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance plus possession of a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 1:06 a.m. Dec. 9.

The man was stopped in a 2013 Honda Accord on Route 209 in Hamilton Township, after which he was found him to be in possession of marijuana, police said.

• Police said the operator of a 2014 Mazda they stopped for a traffic violation at 8:28 a.m. Nov. 18 was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The vehicle was stopped on Adie Drive in Chestnuthill Township.

• A 65-year-old man from Effort is facing assault charges after police responded to an incident at 7 a.m. Dec. 19 at the intersection of Shenkel Road and Lindsey Lane in Chestnuthill Township.

Police said a 44-year-old woman from Effort was injured from the assault.
