Towamensing Township has adopted a 2025 budget with no tax increase.
The board also made a $4,000 donation for both the Palmerton Area Library and Valor Clinic Foundation.
The last meeting of the year began with public participation.
Resident Carolanne Stroup had made a complaint that Hickory Lane was icy and her friend got into a crash. She did contact Roadmaster Scott Mosier and was advised to come to the next meeting to discuss further.
Gerald George questioned the recreational fee ordinance. He was under the impression that when a parent gave their child land, there were no recreation fees. George was informed that is incorrect.
The Agricultural Security Application was reviewed and approved for Arthur and Martina Gillespie at 1650 Spruce Hollow Road by the Agriculture Security Board.
The LCB notified the township that Madness Distillery, located at 6565 Interchange Road, Lehighton, has applied for a liquor license.
The reorganizational board of supervisors meeting will be at 5 p.m. Monday, with the regular monthly meeting to follow.
