Lehighton Borough Police Department reported the following incidents:

• Melissa Smith, 26, of Palmerton, was charged with receiving stolen property, flight to avoid apprehension and obstruction, while Nicholas Bertalan, 27, of Palmerton, was charged with aggravated assault, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, theft from motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest and obstruction of law enforcement.

The two were charged for an incident on Nov. 10.

• Michael Halenar, 58, of Lehighton, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and various traffic offenses for an incident on Sept. 21 in the 300 block of North Third Street.

• Duane Bonetsky, 60, of Harrisburg, was charged with three counts of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and various traffic offenses for an incident on Sept. 19 at Third and Cypress streets.

• Alexsandra Mercado, 46, of Mount Carmel, was charged with obstruction, resisting arrest, driving under the influence and various traffic offenses for an incident on Aug. 25 along Blakeslee Boulevard.
