Lansford Borough Council approved the following:
• Its regular council meetings for the second Wednesday of each month, except for January and October when council will meet on the third Wednesday.
• Four committee meetings a year and will change eight of its committee meetings to workshop meetings. The meetings will continue to be held on first Tuesday of the month, and the committee meetings will be Jan. 7, April 1, July 1 and Oct. 7. The zoning and ordinance committee will meet separately.
• Advertising for open seats on the water authority, one; sewer authority, one; zoning hearing board, one alternate; civil service commission, one regular and three alternates.
• Portnoff Associates to collect delinquent trash fees and real estate taxes.
• Increasing the pay rate of Ashley McLaughlin from $21 an hour to $23 an hour as borough secretary, effective Jan. 1.
• Committee heads take and submit their own meeting reports/minutes, instead of a borough secretary taking notes or minutes.
• Selling the 1990 Ford dump truck for $2,730 and the 1991 Ford street sweeper for $1,980 to Sopranzi Auto Junkyard less a $100 fee to pick up the vehicles.
• Installing school bus crossing signs in the 300 and 400 block of West Patterson Street.
• Moving its rental license inspections and licensing from ARRO Engineering to an in-house operation with the borough handing them effective Jan. 13.
