here’s still time to celebrate the holidays by walking through your local park to see decorated trees sponsored by local businesses and residents. Some are in honor of loved ones, while others promote first responders and causes.
Palmerton has 154 trees that will remain in the borough park until Jan. 13.
Lehighton has 165 trees and eight wreaths, also decorated through Jan. 13.
Lansford and Jim Thorpe each have 50 trees. Lansford’s trees are in Kennedy Park, while Jim Thorpe has trees in Memorial Park.
Walnutport has 40 trees in its park on Lincoln Avenue, and Slatington has 20 trees in Victory Park. They will remain in the parks until Jan. 8.
Nesquehoning is hosting its inaugural Christmas tree display with 29 trees in New Columbus park until Jan. 7.
