State police at Bethlehem

State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported the following incidents:

• Police were called to an assault with a weapon incident at 10:26 a.m. Nov. 29 at the intersection of Route 873 and Union Avenue in North Whitehall Township.

A 19-year-old man from Schnecksville and an 18-year-old woman from Allentown were targeted, according to police.

• Police are investigating the theft of a motor vehicle that was reported at 5 a.m. Nov. 17.

The theft occurred on Spy Glass Road in the borough of Bath, where a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze was stolen, along with other valuables, including two vehicle keys valued at $400 each.

A 43-year-old man from Tamaqua, a 39-year-old woman from Bath and a 54-year-old man from Bangor were listed by police as the victims.

• A 76-year-old Slatington man and a 61-year-old Schnecksville man are the victims of a burglary police were called to at 1:20 p.m. Dec. 5.

The burglary occurred at a property on the Neffs Laurys Road, North Whitehall Township, when someone gained entry to a detached garage on the property and stole a lawn mower, gas tank and air compressor.

Police said the garage door was left unsecured and there were no signs of forced entry.

• Police said a 37-year-old man from Slatington was cited for a “reckless burn fire” that occurred between 10 a.m. and 8:05 p.m. Dec. 11 on Center Street in Washington Township.

He started a fire on a 49-acre parcel of private property that was saved through the combined efforts of the Slatington, Slatedale, Walnutport and Emerald fire companies, along with the Northern Valley EMS and state police, according to police.

• The Neffs National Bank, 5629 Route 873, North Whitehall Township, was cited for “false alarms/dialing devices” after police were called there at 11:18 p.m. Dec. 1.

They said it was the fifth false alarm they were called to in the last 12 months.
