State police at Fogelsville - crashes

State police at the Fogelsville barracks reported the following crashes:

• Bridget K. Keough, 32, of Brodheadsville, was uninjured in a crash at 8:08 a.m. Dec. 18 on Route 22 in Bethlehem Township.

Police said she was driving a 2015 Toyota Venza westbound when she slowed down due to congested traffic and her vehicle was struck by a vehicle that failed to slow down. The driver of the striking vehicle fled the scene.

Keough’s vehicle had minor damage and was drivable, police said.

• Miguelina Gil Padilla, 49, of Hazleton, was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 12:56 p.m. Dec. 2 on Route 309 in Lynn Township, police said.

She did not require a medical transport by personnel from the Cetronia Ambulance Corps, who responded to the scene, police said.

Gil Padilla was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Sonic northbound when it struck a rock in the middle of the road, traveled off the road and hit a wooden post, police said.

The car was heavily damaged and towed from the scene.

• Police investigated a hit-and-run crash that occurred at 2 p.m. Nov. 21 on Orchard Road, Lowhill Township.

A 2013 Nissan Altima that was traveling at a high rate of speed southbound failed to negotiate a sharp right curve, traveled off the road and through a yard before hitting the right corner of a residence, police said.

The operator fled the scene.

Police said a strong odor of burned marijuana emanated from inside the vehicle, which was towed from the scene.
